Mini Project IV_Photogrammetry

Instruction

Option 2. Reshoot your last or new partner and improve the quality of each step’s model and create better final 3d model.

To enhance the quality of my model, I completely revamped the project from scratch. I significantly increased the number of photos captured from 56 to 145, ensuring comprehensive coverage from various angles, including the front, top, and back of my partner. I adjusted the camera focus to prioritize the face after encountering issues with the initial 3D model.

Throughout the meticulous process of masking, I focused on precision, zooming in and carefully outlining the figure to improve accuracy compared to my previous attempt. This meticulous approach extended the time spent on both masking and generating a dense cloud. Despite the added effort, the resulting model exhibited noticeable improvement over the initial version.

However, there were some challenges, as a portion of the face remained incomplete, necessitating the use of a black smooth hole fill. Despite this, the overall outcome was considerably superior.
