For example, artists use edited digital photography to present the concepts they want to convey. Album covers are one kind of artistic presentation.

Reflect on the extent to which photography is capable of capturing reality; and compare it to other media (technology) (e.g. text, video, virtual reality, books).

Photography has the capacity to contain both reality and artistic creation. However, the extent to which photography reveals reality depends on the function and genre. If it is a journalistic photo, the moral of truth and journalism requires it to show the raw reality as far as possible. If it is art creation, then things could be flexible.

Moreover, if we are to discuss photography’s capacity to capture reality, we should consider both the process of shooting and the process of editing. Due to the different perspectives of the photo creators, the way they shoot it, or choose the angle could be different. So actually photography is not so objective enough for people to trust without thinking twice.

Compared to other media, photography has been one of the many tools that have both the potential to document the real, but also the potential to create something novel.
