For week 9, the project was to develop my own character and also recreate the duck character of the animator. When I was using Cinema4d for the first time, it felt foreign as a lot of the meshing, extruding, and pulling felt like sculpting rather than actual geometric 3d modeling. Hence, because of this, I was only able to create the animator’s character of a duck because there was a tutorial to make it more organic, while my own character lacked details due to difficulty of using the program which I plan on refining before next week’s assignment of assembling a 3d object.
Essentially, this week I learned the following from developing my character: Details of a character take time, without rendering, my outcome is difficult to show, as my character is more segmented, I would have to also learn how to create patching textures within my character.
