Prototyping Blog Documentation Week 8

For this week, I created two prototypes of the storage designs I created the previous week, as shown here (top right and bottom designs)

I would first take measurements of the areas that the storages units would take space on the bike as to get an idea how big they can be.

Then I would create cardboard prototypes of these storage units based on the measurements I got, which turned out to be quite big upon creating these prototypes.

Once these prototypes were made, I would then “test” them by placing them on the respective spots on the bike to make sure it would fit, and then would adjust them accordingly if they didn’t fit.

As a result, I managed to create two prototype storage units on the bike, which would result in a final count of three storage units in total (one behind the chair like in the top right design, two next to the motors like the bottom design).

For the future, I will need to figure out how to attach these storage units to the respective places on the bike and to make sure that they won’t fall upon the bike being ridden on.
