Prototyping Blog Documentation Week 4
For this week’s project, I am working making a bridge made of spaghetti in order to hold as much weight as possible given its own design and weight.
At first, I wasn’t too sure as to what to make for my bridge, experimenting with different methods that minimize the amount of spaghetti while maximizing the strength they would have.
Eventually, I came up with the simple method of gluing a 3 stack of spaghetti on top of one another to form a surface for which the weight will be hooked on, as shown below.
After doing some of my own research, I came to the conclusion that triangular shapes would best minimize the amount of spaghetti I use while maximizing the amount of strength the structure will have. As a result, I have come with the design as shown below, inspired by my research. Now all is left is to test how much weight it can hold.
