Q&A
Q1: What is happening in the story
A1: As a linguist, the female protagonist encounters the alien "Seven-legged Bucket" and unexpectedly gains the ability to discern the future,
thus gaining a glimpse of her daughter and her own life.
Q2: What is the story about?
A2: It is about the contact between Earth and extraterrestrial civilizations,
involving philosophy, linguistics, and some physics (whether it is anthropology or not)
Q3: Louis insists on meeting the Aliens to learn about them, why?
A3: Louise believes that learning unknown languages can only be
achieved through face-to-face communication
Q4: In which ways does their language differ from our human languages?
A4: 1. The written and spoken English use the same system, but the spoken language and written writing of the seven-legged buckets are different;
    2. The dialogue of the seven-legged bucket has no causal relationship, and their dialogue is only a behavioral behavior aimed at making the predetermined future a reality;
    3. The written language (Language B) of the Seven Limb. Bucket is suitable for synchronous simultaneous thinking mode, and their oral linear language (Language A) has significant limitations on themselves
Q5: The connection between their writing system and their body structure.
A5: Their body structure is extremely symmetrical, and any of the seven limbs can serve as a leg or arm;
    Seamlessly integrated with them, the smooth and fluent writing gives people a sensory sense of conformity

After reading this book, the book sparked me thinking about many things, including free will and deeper cognitive and linguistic aspects. If one day an alien really arrives, how should we communicate with him? Or should we communicate with him? Friendly or radical? These are all questions worth considering
