Narrative Structures for New Media: Towards a New Definition

In “New Storytelling for Archaeological Museums Based on Augmented Reality Glasses”, Adolfo and Ana introduced an intuitive way to create storytelling by anchoring the holograms “to the real physical space”. The team took advantage of the Microsoft HoloLens glasses and experimented with a fictional holographic character to create storytelling for the archaeological museum of the Almoina in Valencia. With the augmented reality devices, readers can “interact with digital data in an intuitive way, through voice commands and gestures”. The storytelling is a combination of animated sequences with video, 3D reconstructions, and music.
