My First Interaction Lab Post

This is my first blog post. It is about the first IMA group work I participated in NYU Shanghai.  

Concept & Process

In our first team collaboration, we created a Barbie AI wardrobe model which can customize the best clothes for you based on the weather and your mood. Of course, if you have any emotional opinions, it can also fit well with your opinions.

Moreover, this machine has implemented the concept of environmental protection since its production. All the clothes produced are made from recyclable materials and will not pollute the environment.

During the creative process, we first fold a piece of cardboard into three pieces, and then use another piece of cardboard at the bottom to connect them to ensure stability. Then we cover a huge discarded advertising board with pink paint to match the theme of Barbie AI. We cut this advertising board into three pieces and collage them onto the previous cardboard.

Afterwards, we start decorating the whole thing, using cotton to make clouds and sticking them on top, and using yarn to make characters and sticking them on top. Finally, we create three windows and stick printed clothing styles on them, and our ideal model is completed.

Performance

Sunday afternoon came, and it was time for the performance. All of our team members came to the auditorium with the designed device and put on a spectacular show.

Meaning & Thoughts

In such a busy era with information overload every day, sometimes we may have too many concerns when it comes to choosing our daily outfits. So, it would be quite nice to have an AI that can help us solve these troubles.

Nowadays, many people are worried that the rapid development of AI will lead to unemployment. But on the positive side, if we let AI help us solve some of the troubles in our lives, then it can become our good friend.
