Midterm proposal:
The game I designed is named is Stone City and is based on the background that a strange virus attacked human society after the war between AI with their own self consciousness and human. This kind of virus is first detected when one person touched a robot which looks and acts exactly like human, and then the person feels himself frozen from the fingertip and gradually to the entire body within 3 days. However, that person does not recognize the symptoms as getting infected in the beginning and touched many people before he feels really weird. Therefore, the virus has spread out with touch of each other in human society and the effort made by the robot controlled by AI. If a person is frozen entirely, it will become a stone forever. The entire world is full of countless stones while some people are still alive but are exposed to high risks of getting infection. The government across the world decided to union together and build a safety zone to gather all the healthy people. All the government has organize their army to divide them into teams, which are sent to places which are detected having stones or people with similar symptoms to kill them. A stamp with stone signal will be put at the gate of places like that. Players are part of the team to protect the world.
The game has the basic logic that players are human in the teams with the mission of not getting infected and saving other npc as much as possible. Players will start their journey with searching for the suspicious area and detecting for suspicious people and robots. To complete their mission, players need to differentiate the robots and human by asking questions with the npc which is generated by AI and made their choice to kill or save. If they wants to kill, their will trigger a fight with robot and this will turn to the page of fighting page, where players can choose their own equipments. If the players have passed the test, they will enter the next rescue. During each mission, players need to make decisions and face the guilty of possibly killing someone innocent. Meanwhile, each decision they made will affect the next few stories of their journey.
Questions:
- While it is possible to see something greater than human intelligence, how will human react to that technology is also a question, approve or disagree?
- Will the superhuman serve for human as adaptation of the maybe extreme wicked natural environment in the future?
