An exploratory partnership between digital humanities practitioners within the New York University Paris Sciences Lettres Global Alliance has been funded in 2017-18 to examine geographical information in the research domains of Literary History and Art History.

The partnership will serve as an opportunity for training scholars in digital methodologies, but also critically reflecting on the contribution of such methods to disciplinary knowledge and their limitations for interpretative work.

We are putting together an application for an extension of the partnership funding to consolidate our research interests and shared research goals, while continuing to host events in Paris and Abu Dhabi for research-focused development and training.

The partnership will also explore possibilities for interdisciplinary future digital humanities research projects and publications between PSL and NYU.

The two lead faculty for this partnership are

Béatrice Joyeux-Prunel (ENS PSL)
David Joseph Wrisley (NYU Abu Dhabi).
