About the Internship
Project Syndicate is looking for a detail-oriented and eager-to-learn candidate to assist with media market research to help support the growth of the organization. This is a part-time internship position working amongst our digital marketing, sales, and publishing teams requiring 10 to 15 hours per week and a consistent schedule (preferably between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.).
The intern will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential media partners, researching media markets around the world, documenting all activities in HubSpot, helping to maintain
our back-end editorial systems, as well as various other tasks.
This semester, the intern will also support PS in launching Press Play Prague, an international film fest about journalism, which will take place at Kino Atlas in Prague from October 8-12, 2024.
We are looking for someone who will focus on:
- Audiences acquisition research, particularly for younger audiences
- Competitor research
- Media market research
- Shipping/Logistics of our PS Quarterly Magazines
- Logistical support during the inaugural Press Play Prague film festival
Intern responsibilities:
- Media market research
- Research and qualification of potential media, academic, and corporate partners
- Data maintenance
- Data organization across teams at PS
Required skills:
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- The ability to commit to a consistent block of time every day (morning or afternoon) for two to three hours
- Organization and time management
- Ability to work independently and accept feedback
- Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities driven by the needs of the day
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of Lead Generation
- Experience with customer relationship management tools (HubSpot, SalesForce etc.)
- Interest in world affairs, economics, and news
