Make sure to bring your passport and money (or bank card) with you when going to the hospital. 

Nemocnice Motol Hospital 

  • biggest hospital in Central Europe offering the biggest range of services and care
  • potentially long waiting times 
  • Accepts GeoBlue (the Guarantee of Payment from GeoBlue needed to avoid out of pocket payment!)

When you get to the hospital:

  • go to the Foreigners Reception (Cizinecké oddělení) – open from Mo – Sun 7 am – 7 pm
  • after these hours go directly to the ER (Recepce urgentního příjmu)
  • fill out a respective form with your contact details

Nemocnice Na Homolce Hospital

  • a smaller hospital with good care
  • long waiting times
  • does not accept GeoBlue, deposit is paid on the spot

When you get to the hospital:

  • go to the Foreign Reception – open from Mo – Fri 7 am – 5:30 pm
  • after these hours go to the main reception (Informace – centrální kartotéka)
  • you will pay a deposit of about 2000 to 8000 CZK, the hospital will return the money to you after the treatment, then you get reimbursed by GeoBlue

Fakultní nemocnice Královské Vinohrady

  • does not accept GeoBlue
  • you have to pay and then get reimbursed by GeoBlue
  • potentially long waiting times
  • near Machova Dorm
