Trips Cancellation Fee Policy
You will be charged a cancellation fee via your NYU account ($80 for an three day trip, 60 for an overnight trip and $40 for a day trip) for every trip you do not attend and/or do not excuse yourself from in advance due to sickness or family emergency. The fee will be charged in the next five work days following the trip in question. You will receive an email informing you of this transaction.
August 30, 2024 – Trips Signup
The trips signup takes place on Friday, August 30 from 11 am until 12 pm. You will receive emails confirming the trips you signed up for after the signup is closed. You will have until Tuesday, September 3 to change your mind and drop out of any trips you signed up for. You MUST email prague-programing@nyu.edu to let us know you are dropping out of a trip BY 5 pm on September 3 at the latest. After September 3, whatever you signed up for (and did not cancel by emailing prague-programing@nyu.edu) will be binding and the trip cancellation fees will apply.
After September 3, 2024 – Dropping out of trips
Once you are signed up for a trip and can no longer attend the trip, you must find a replacement for your spot.
First let us know by emailing prague-programing@nyu.edu and we will notify students on the waiting list to see if they’ll take your spot.
If no one from the waiting list will be able to go, it is then your responsibility to find a replacement.
If you do not find a replacement for your spot and will not go on the trip, you will be charged the trip cancellation fee.
If you cannot make the trip due to an illness or family emergency, you must let us know IN ADVANCE (at least a day) by emailing prague-programing@nyu.edu and the trip organizer.
No guests are permitted on any trips.
If there are disciplinary problems with students, they may be prohibited from going on NYU Prague trips.
Two unexcused absences on NYU organized trips, tours, and cultural events will result in a ban on attending any additional trips and NYU cultural events.
Students are responsible for keeping track of which trips they are signed up for (in order to avoid scheduling conflicts with other trips and travel plans).
