Tuesday, November 28 at 6:30 pm in the National Theatre
Two operas in one evening? Why not! One is a contemporary prequel to the other one – a much-beloved classic by Giacomo Puccini. Puccini’s one-act opera Gianni Schicchi contains one of the most famous arias of all time (“O mio babbino caro!”). The contemporary opera Don Buoso utilizes some of Puccini’s musical motifs, while shedding a different light on the well-known story.
Venue: The National Theater – an unequivocal symbol of the Czech national self-determination in the 19th century, one of the cornerstones of Czech art and architecture. The view from its terrace will take your breath away.
