Thea’s Small Square

Tempis fugit.

This fall, as Prague celebrates 30 years of Freedom and Democracy, NYU Prague quietly marks our 21st year – not so significant as to warrant a big bash like last year, but a birthday that, if we were in the USA, would mean that we were finally of drinking age… or if we were in the UK in medieval times, it would the the year when a young man could be knighted.

There are only a few weeks left of the fall 2019 semester which means that we are already thinking about the new term. We expect a larger group in the spring — somewhere between 110 and 120 students. Exactly which students decide to enroll at our site is still somewhat shrouded in mystery, and the student make up next term will be quite different from past years. We’ll have a much larger cohort of Steinhardt music students (around 40) and many fewer Stern business students (only 5) as well as a sizeable number of students from Steinhardt’s  Media, Culture and Communications program.

Before we bid adieu to 2019,  we hope you’ll join us at our annual holiday party which will be held in Richtruv Dum on December 12, from 6pm. I look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the end of the fall semester and 2019!
