Listacle – 7 Crochet/Knitting Youtube Channels by RA Eva

Hello all,

I compiled a list of some crochet/knit content for you to Czech out, in case you were equally inspired by Beatriz’ lama on instagram 🙂

Five for all:

RJ Knits
As a channel focusing on knitting, with varying levels of difficulty, this is for everybody. Also, the lightning and comprehensive narration makes it possible for you to learn as little terminology as possible, and the Great UK/US Drift of Terms need not be an issue.
Do you wanna learn how to knit? Start from the very beginning:

Club Crochet
This is a no-nonsense channel, with great tutorials for various crochet projects. If you’re just starting out, it offers little chain projects, and you can build up, all the way to some cute animals.

Do you wanna learn to crochet? Start from the beginning:

Very Pink Knits

A comprehensive channel, focused mainly on knitting and with a neat tie-in to the maker’s website for some (paid) patterns and videos. It’s a great opportunity for you to improve your technique, learn how to make your first hat, or learn the basics of crocheting.
Here is her tutorial for making granny squares (crochet):

Here is a photo of my granny square blanket, they are super cute and very easy.

Hooked by Robin
A very cheerful and laid-back take on the crochet tutorial spiel. What we have here are great accessible videos on colourful joyful projects, such as amigurumi animals or blankets.
Do you want to make your first amigurumi animal? (Recommended for intermediate level). Try this jellyfish:

Here is mine, the first animal I ever made, two days ago. They can’t all be winners 🙂

Bello Coco
A great number of happy, bubbly projects. She just makes the colours pop. Great for all levels, and especially for her selection of granny squares variations (see Very Pink Knits for basic granny square).
Here is an easy tutorial for a flower:

and two a little more niche ones:

Crochet Guru
I mainly use this for technique, it’s great for learning how to make a magic circle or such if you’d like to ‘level up’ to more ambitious projects.
Here is a comprehensive overview of all the stitches in crocheting:

Knit Grit
Even though there are a few things I don’t like about it, the channel does feature walk-through tutorials on making amigurumi animals. Provided that you have crocheted before and consult the written pattern (available for free), you can follow along.
Here is a tutorial for a whale (there are many online, this one worked for me):
Here is mine:

I would just like to take the time to say that it’s okay if you don’t pick up a new hobby, learn a foreing language, or lose 20 pounds during this time. Be kind to yourselves, okay? And only crochet or knit if it brings you joy.

Love,
Eva
