Do you already know all the popular neighborhoods in the center and would like to look somewhere further? Northern City, a group of prefabricated housing estates from the 1970s and 1980s, may be an unusual choice for a walk – housing estates are mostly considered gray areas where you do not want to come from Vinohrady or Holešovice to spend time, but I’ll try to show you that you can find interesting places on the outskirts of Prague that most people in Prague don’t even know about! We will visit a hidden piece of nature with an amazing view of Prague, controversial modern metro station, an amazing brutalist church built as a unique during the communist era, one of the most beautiful housing estates in the Czech Republic, Kobylisy Shooting Range – memorial site with a chilling history and we will finish the walk in a unique café Tichá kavárna, which, in addition to good coffee, acts as a social project that helps to integrate deaf people into the work process. I promise you to experience the authentic spirit of the outskirts of Prague!
