Composer and NYU Prague professor Beata Hlavenková is releasing two new albums this spring.
She and Patrik Hlavenka wrote the music for Ó, Ó, Ó, Vajíčko!, a children’s CD based on a book by Milan Starý and Ester Stará. Kids (and kids at heart) can celebrate the launch of the book with Beata at an event featuring songs, art workshops and bugs at Kasárna Karlín on 16 April at 5 p.m.
In May she is releasing a new album called Sně which is based on poems of Bohuslav Reynek.
Beata also wrote the music for Dukla 61, a TV series based on a Czech mining disaster that recently won the prestigious 2018 Czech Lion award.
