Artistic Activism Recipe Book is an unconventional recipe book on tactics and strategies of artistic activism that was created in the Fall 2021 Art and Ideas: What is Social Practice Art? course. Drawing on the class readings and discussions students selected a few tactics and/or strategies such as community care, collectivity, making the invisible visible, emergent strategies, media manipulation, direct action, culture jamming, and rituals to name a few. The recipes for each tactic/strategy include: background information about the tactic and/or strategy in terms of historical context and social context, the main ingredients of the tactic/strategy, procedure, and ways to evaluate it.
