The MA in Art Education and Community Practice is an interdisciplinary program that combines coursework in socially engaged art practice, critical pedagogy, and activism. Our focus is to prepare artists, educators, designers, community organizers, and other publicly situated activists to work within community-based settings, museums, NGOs, or broader public and civic contexts, towards initiating social change through the arts. This blog documents examples of student work in the program and collaborative projects created in collaboration with faculty and community partners.
