In the Spring of 2018, climate change, opioid addiction, and the public art debate were at the forefront of national and international discourse. In response to these significant issues, students chose to focus on these themes for the Visionary Studio: Saturday Workshop classes that took place over 9 sessions starting in March and ending in May 2018.
Following the 9 sessions, a final exhibition and reception, 100 Ways to Mobilize, took place on Friday, May 24 in the Commons Gallery located in the Department of Art and Art Professions at NYU. Participating high school students, their friends, families, and teachers as well as NYU faculty and staff celebrated the work that students produced over the course of the program.
