NYU Art+Education alumni go on to teach in a variety of different settings and serve in different community-based roles. Many teach in the New York City public schools, while others go to public or independent schools in other areas of the state, or in other cities across the country. We also have students who teach internationally – returning to their home countries or working abroad in international schools. Some teach in museum education or not-for-profit and community-based organizations, or serve in different educational roles such as curriculum consultants and on curatorial projects. Still others pursue further study in PhD and EdD programs.
In addition to their professional roles, alumni are involved in a wide range of projects, initiatives, and conference presentations that further highlight their commitment to social justice and change making through the arts. See examples of alumni projects below.
