In fall 2018 and 2019, students in Race, Education, and the Politics of Visual Representation each created personal collection of resources for their final project assignment. These collections included what each student identified as the most important and relevant ideas, concepts/theories, as well as practical strategies for their own work enacting critical multicultural, anti-racist art education inspired by our class discussions, readings, and artworks. Students were encouraged to not just create this resource as an academic exercise, but to approach it as a functional tool and set of references for going forward in whatever context students plan to work – whether a school classroom or community-based setting.
