May 1, 2025 by pbn8004

We are excited to share a new short video spotlighting the inspiring work of Art Education and Initial Certification alumna Leticia Balzi. A multidisciplinary artist and educator based in Norway, Leticia draws on her rich academic background—including an Master of Arts in Art Education, Teaching Art, Initial Certification from NYU Steinhardt—to explore the intersections of visual culture, social justice, and critical pedagogy. In this video, she reflects on how her time at NYU helped shape her teaching practice, which now engages middle and high school students in critical conversations through art. Leticia’s work spans international exhibitions, research, and community-based projects, all driven by a commitment to intersectionality, environmental awareness, and inclusive education. We invite you to learn more about her impactful practice and global contributions to contemporary art and art education.
