Here are videos of my part and the group combination.
I am very proud of the result – I think in my part I combine the theme of magic and my object so well! For the Domino of the Tarot cards, I used the physics in-built with unity. For the shining star, I used animation change-scale. For the glowing effect, I watched Youtube tutorials to learn how to achieve that – turns out pretty simple, by using the post-production package.
For the design of the shape, I was inspired by the circled star in Tarot philosophy which symbolize the five elements. I think it would be very cool for it to be energized by a sort of magic instead of purely physical force, so I added the floating tarot deck at last (which also incorporates my object very well:). I also love the starry skybox – it made the whole scene a lot more beautiful and mysterious. To fully show its beauty, I chose to use the texture of glass. I also learned how to do that on Youtube – immensely useful website. The little ball is “mirror” with the “wood” physic, which is also applied to the plain.
I personally love everything about it – the camera animation, the overlaying of the colorful cards, the glow, the floating deck at the end – coincidently, when I saw Amanda’s project I found that we had the same idea of using elements of the universe, so I recommended that we all use the universe skybox. My group-mates weren’t familiar with how to use the animation function, so I helped out. I also gave suggestions about the textures and the materials. We worked together well. It was a pleasant collaboration.
