I tried to use what I know in Unity to build something meaningful to myself. At first it was a lot of fumbling around and confusion for what the function is. I googled a lot for how to use the fundamental controls. Then I thought of something and built according to it.
It’s our solar system. The sun is 1.3 million times the size of the earth, so it is technically impossible to see the earth in the same frame of the sun. But I put it there anyway, just to show that it exists. The distance between the sun and Mercury is 52 times the diameter of the sun. It is shown in the textbooks very much like what I did in unity, but in fact those two cannot be fit into the same frame either—Mercury couldn’t be seen. Every planet that comes after is even more further away. Yet the sun emits a light so strong that reaches them all. The universe is a marvelous place.
