PhD Student
In June 2014, I graduated from the American University of Beirut with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy. I then completed an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience at University College London where I worked with transcranial magnetic stimulation to investigate the temporal dynamics of the angular gyrus in reading.
I joined the neuroscience of language lab in April 2017 where I now work under the supervision of Liina Pylkkanen and Alec Marantz. I am primarily interested in the brain and consciousness, but I believe that simpler questions must be answered first. In psycholinguistics, I want to understand how the brain makes sense out of words and sounds using language, and how bilinguals use different codes to represent and reference things, and have the ability to switch between them in a seemingly effortless manner.
