Graduate Student, Psychology
I am a fourth-year PhD student in Psychology. The starting point for my research is viewing language as a dynamic object in the brain with an emphasis on the neural correlates of semantic representation and processing. My work focuses on the interplay between words and their larger context whether that be a sentence, story, or the individual characteristics of the person reading them. My approach is interdisciplinary, combining computational, experimental, and theoretical perspectives. Before coming to NYU, I received a BA in Linguistics from Leiden University in 2021. Additionally, I completed my BA thesis and worked as a research assistant in Dr. Andrea Martin’s Language and Computation in Neural Systems group at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics.
