Vanessa Rodriguez, Ed.D. is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Population Health, Center for Early Childhood Health and Development, NYU School of Medicine. She is a veteran NYC public school teacher of over a decade. Her work focuses on teacher mental health and wellness, equity and diversity, and Teacher Social-emotional Learning. She is the author of The Teaching Brain (2014).
Ido Davidesco, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Learning Sciences at the Neag School of Education, University of Connecticut. His research brings neuroscience outside of the laboratory and into the classroom, where he investigates the brain-to-brain synchrony between students and teachers. He is the recipient of early career awards from the National Science Foundation and the International Mind, Brain, and Education Society.
Kristin Simmers, M.Ed., M.S., is a PhD student at the University of Connecticut. She is interested in how teachers’ knowledge and perception of the brain and learning impact their practice and learner outcomes. Kristin was a teacher for 16 years in 4 different countries.
