Based in London, UK, Sertan Şentürk is working in Kobalt Music Group as a data science lead, specializing in research and development. His recent work involves building state-of-the-art, industry-scale applications for automatic description, retrieval, and discovery of big music data, in particular for entity matching and linking. Outside his day job, he collaborates with the Music and Sound Cultures Research Group of New York University – Abu Dhabi as a data science consultant. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2017 under the supervision of Xavier Serra from Music Technology Group, Universitat Pompeu Fabra. During his Ph.D., and his masters from Georgia Center for Music Technology, he worked on building novel computational models to analyze and discover numerous music traditions.
