About Our Technologies

Egg chair

An egg-shaped chair with a red cushion inside and a shade that is black on the outside and has colorful LED lights on the inside.

The egg chair is a chair with the shape of an egg where you can simply sit and relax for a bit or you can even close the black shades to have a little more privacy. If you like bright colors, the egg chair has colorful lights inside!

This is a small-sized chair, 32 1/4  inches tall in total. The seat is 6 3/4 inches tall, 23 1/4 inches wide and 24 3/8  inches deep.

How does it work? You can turn the LED lights on by turning the switch on the Arduino placed next to the batteries. Batteries are placed on top of the egg chair. There are two battery-packs, one being used and the other being charged. Four triple-A batteries are required to get the lights to turn on.

Weighted blankets

Blue weighted blanket. It is rectangular shaped blanket with a dent op the top, making it the same shape as sleeveless shirt.

The many blue mats on the floor are actually weighted blankets! If you feel like lying down for a bit, try using these blankets to keep you cozy in the multi-sensory room. The weight of the blankets makes your downtime feel like a warm hug!

How does it work? The weighted blanket works just like a regular blanket! You can lay or sit down and wrap it around you.

Projector

Did you know that you can customize the multi-sensory room? Just turn the projector on and select different animations to be displayed on the wall. You can turn the room into a huge lava lamp or even a sky full of stars!

How does it work? Ask a staff member to turn the projector on for you! You can also ask them about the visualizations available or click here to find them yourself.

Bubble tube

Bright vertical tube with bubbles inside and colorful lights shining out of it

The glowing tube full of bubbles is what makes the multi-sensory room so fun and colorful. The sound of the bubbles traveling through the tube is also very calming, so if you don’t enjoy looking at the colorful lights, you can sit inside our egg chair, close the shades and just listen to the nice ambient sounds.

How does it work? The bubble tube is usually on, but if it is not, ask a staff member to turn it on for you! We are currently setting up a SmartPlug so that the bubble tube can be easily turned on and off.
