This area of the multisensory contains colorful clouds attached to the ceiling and a bubble tube that changes colors with time. The sound of the bubbles floating in the tube gives the room a calming atmosphere that users can take advantage of before or after undergoing any procedures at NYU’s Oral Health Center for People with Disabilities.

Tactile graphics are images that use raised surfaces so that people with visual impairments can feel them. It is used to display non-textual information, such as paintings, graphs, and maps – like in the image below.  This map was created following the guidelines for tactile schematics created by Lauren Race.
