What is the Multisensory Room?

The multisensory room is an immersive environment where patients can relax as they watch and feel the vibrations of the bubble tube, can be comforted by the warmth and calming of weighted blankets, enjoy the psychedelics and other visuals of the projecting images, have a seat at the egg chair and immerse into a space of soothing lights, or simply enjoy themselves.

The multisensory room in NYU’s Oral Health Center for People with Disabilities was developed in partnership with AbilityNYU and it was designed to help patients feel at ease.
