The course will be partly synchronous and partly asynchronous. Lecture contents will be delivered each week through short videos, and there will be two live meetings on Zoom: once on Tuesday or Wednesday (depending on your lecture section) to discuss the topics of the videos in more details with your instructor, and once on Friday for the recitation and the quiz with your TA. Each week will be organized as follows:
-
- Videos will be available each week by Thursday.
- Each series of videos will contain lecture material and some exercises that you should try solving while watching the video. You should also work on the WebAssign exercises while watching these videos.
- We will meet on Zoom each Tuesday or Wednesday (depending on your lecture section) to discuss the content of the videos and cover more examples. You should have watched the videos and tried the exercises beforehand, since the material will be assumed to be known during these meetings.
- After each of those synchronous meeting, you will be familiar with all the material to finish the WebAssign exercises and work on the written homework. The WebAssign exercises are due by Wednesday 5pm and you should do them first (you should start working on them while you are watching the videos). The written homework will be more challenging and due by 5pm on Thursday. The solution to the homework will be released right after, so that you have time to read it before the quiz.
- In recitation, you will cover more examples, and discuss with your TA to solidify your knowledge. Each recitation will end with a 20 minute quiz via Gradescope.
