Getting Help

There are lots of ways for you to get help if you are struggling with this course. You are encouraged to ask questions in class. You can also reach out to your instructor and teaching assistants directly through e-mail or during office hours.

Take advantage of the class community. Get to know your classmates and form study groups.

The key thing is to be proactive. This course moves quickly so don’t wait until shortly before an examination to seek out extra support.

Strengthening prerequisite knowledge

Your WebAssign license gives you access to two tools to help you strength your knowledge of prerequisite material like trigonometry. The first a collection of optional assignments on specific topics. The second is a digital copy of the textbook

This book contains detailed explanations of all of the essential perquisite material. It also contains an appendix with the answers to odd numbered exercises which students are encouraged to use for additional practice. 

Tutoring

The mathematics department provides free mathematics tutoring, There is also free tutoring available through the NYU University Learning Center.
