The leading newspapers in Spain are El País and El Mundo. Both are daily publications, print and online, based in Madrid. El País tends toward center-left following the ideology of social democracy. The paper produces regional editions around Spain, as well as an international edition distributed in Latin America. On the other hand, El Mundo has a rightist perspective but includes independent and liberal views. Like El País, El Mundo publishes regional Spanish editions with an online version for the Americas.
Other daily papers include ABC,the leading conservative paper, and the online Público, a left-wing paper. Marca is a popular sports newspaper that has recently added a radio station and TV channel, and the Marca sports café is located on the Paseo de Recoletos.

RTVE (la Corporación de Radio y Televisión Española) is the government-owned media corporation that coordinates televisión and radio broadcasts across the country. The Teledario newscasts air at breakfast time, 3pm, and 9pm. Regional news broadcasts at 2pm, which includes segments in Galician and Catalan.
