On June 30th and July 1st, 2015, Liberal Studies held a symposium in London, bringing together instructors from nine NYU sites around the globe to exchange views on teaching writing in contexts ranging from Economics and Life Science to Experiential Learning and the Senior Thesis. Among the questions the symposium explored were what makes a course – whether or not a writing course – “writing intensive.” Philip Kain, LS faculty member in Contemporary Culture and Creative Production, recorded some of the responses.
