About Us
Led by Dr. Zhibin Chen, Lab for Innovative and Sustainable Transportation Systems (LISTS) has been dedicated to developing a transportation system that is safer, more efficient, and environmentally sustainable.
We have been utilizing a multifaceted approach, including network modeling and optimization, operations research, and deep reinforcement learning, to work towards this goal, with focuses on unlocking the potential of cutting-edge vehicle technologies such as electric vehicles (EVs) and connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs).
In the domain of EVs, our research covers a broad spectrum, encompassing the behavioral analysis of EV drivers, strategic deployment of charging infrastructure, optimization of charging schedules, and design and assessment of EV incentive policies.
As for CAV technologies, which are currently less mature, our efforts are concentrated on the deployment of infrastructure that may facilitate the adoption of CAVs and the development of operational strategies for the existing CAV technologies, such as truck platooning and modular autonomous vehicle.
