A New & Improved Way to Say Thank You!

The Rewards & Recognition Committee is proud to announce a new, unified, and more efficient way to say thank you – the New Thank You Form.

From today, June 21st 2017, the email and Google Form will no longer be valid ways to submit your thank yous.

The new form has many advantages:

  • No more confusion about which email is correct
  • Automatic & instant confirmation emails for thankers, thankees, and thankee supervisors (if noted in the submission)
  • You can thank multiple people at once
  • Vastly increased efficiency on the administration side
  • An easier to remember URL: bit.ly/librarythanks
  • A solution which should last for years to come

We encourage you to try out the new form today!  Anyone you thank – including student employees – will be entered into a raffle for movie tickets or a book from the NYU Bookstore, and will receive your message of thanks.

Alexandra Ducett

“Alex, thank you so much for volunteering to teach Sarah’s HEOP section this afternoon. I especially appreciate your prompt reply to Sarah when she emailed Sunday evening to alert us that she was ill and not going to be able to make it in today. By the time I checked my messages, you’d already come to her rescue. I am grateful for your collegiality and for your support of the University’s opportunity programs. Thank you.”

Student Winner
Sean Waxman, SocHum

“Dear Sean, Thank you so much for all your hard work and diligence with the reference collection. You are a vital component of the reference team that keeps the collection in order!”

Special Student Worker Appreciation Raffle!

Student Employee Appreciation Week is in April, so in honor of the many wonderful student workers at the Division of Libraries, the committee ran a special edition of our raffle just for them.  The winners were:

Jenna Bird

Sarah Moazeni writes: Thank you for everything you’ve done this year and last – you’re a fantastic and  reliable worker with a good attitude and I’m lucky to have you on the team!”

Denisa Vataksi, Preservation

Donna Bradley writes: Denisa is a valued member of the Bindery Department, and her readiness to work, as well as help myself and others, has made her a beneficial part of our team.”

Aditi Gagrani, Client Services

Oscar Yong writes:  Aditi is one of our senior desktop support assistants who has been a model of consistency and dependency.  She is always ready and willing to do whatever is needed to solve any IT issue.  Her attention to detail and her organization skills are excellent.  Her desire to help newer student workers goes above and beyond her duties.  She is generally the first point of contact for new student employees and helps tremendously in acclimating them to the procedures and methods of the department. Aditi deserves high praise for her contribution to Client Services.”

Raffle Winners: Feb & Mar 2016

Willie Bruno, NYU-TV

Toni Urbano wrote: “As we are in the thick of the spring semester productions, I wanted to share some positive comments that we’ve received recently.  While Jen and I are often the ones who are speaking with clients and receiving their feedback first, I want you to see and hear the same great things that we do, as the positive feedback is a reflection of the service that NYU-TV provides and that involves the hard work of the entire team.”

Justin Ulloa, Cantor Film Center

Maureen Fitzgerald wrote: “Thank you for all your efforts to help Craig Smith on Friday with his elaborate staging for the Steinhardt event.  The bandmembers were very nice and were very grateful for your expertise and assistance.  An event of this kind is not typical for Cantor and I thought it was pretty cool.  It wouldn’t have been so professional without your help!”

Allison Duke, Budget & Planning

Eimmy Solis wrote: “Thank you so much for your help [in getting my key request resolved]!”
