What We Do
Through the ClimateQual survey you expressed a desire for cultural change in the library. As a result, the Rewards and Recognition Committee was formed to address the ways in which we can begin the process of moving toward a culture of recognition and team building. This group is comprised of a cross-section of library employees whose task it is to launch and administer programs that will help us reach this goal.
The Rewards and Recognition Committee hopes to serve as a unifying element throughout the Division. We aim to not only bring recognition to excellence in teamwork, service and innovation but to also acknowledge that a job well-done on a daily basis deserves recognition by supervisors, colleagues and coworkers. Your partnership in this initiative will help foster the change you asked for.
We welcome your ideas as we move forward developing new programs, an encourage you to participate in active ones.
Our Programs
The committee administers two major programs, The Thank You Program and the Dean’s Award. The first is a way to thank your colleagues throughout the year, and the second is a once-yearly award sponsored by the dean herself.
Who We Are
The Committee consists of ten to fourteen appointed members and one Human Resources representative. The Committee represents a wide range of departments and all categories of staff. Committee members serve rotating two-year terms.
