The Avery Fisher Center will be moving into its new space on the 7th Floor of Bobst Library in January, 2017. We will therefore be closed for approximately one month, from Saturday, December 24th through Sunday, January 22nd. During this period, we will be using an adjusted loan schedule as follows:
|Faculty borrowers:||12/16 through 12/23||DVDs and CDs checked out during this
week will be due on Monday, January 23.
Upon request, the limit of five items
at a time can be waived.
|Student borrowers:||12/23||All loans from the AFC are due.|
|All borrowers:||12/24 through 1/22||No new checkouts possible. No
off-site deliveries or pickups.
No video booking pickup.
|All borrowers||1/23||Resume normal AFC loan schedule.
Resume off-site deliveries and pickups.
Resume video booking pickup.
Music books and scores now located in the north reading room and the west stacks of the 2nd floor will also be moving in January to the 7th floor. This will be done in phases, and during the move itself, those books and scores will generally be accessible—either in their present location or in a temporary staging area—and available for checkout.
For video loans to faculty, we recommend advance reservations for pickup via our web form.
Please note, reservation pickups will not be possible between December 24th and January 22nd.
For audio CDs, a large number of them are being relocated in the coming months to our offsite depository. Please use BobCat to request any CD with an off site location. Faculty who require more than five CDs at a time (the limit for requests in BobCat) may inquire at the service desk or call (212) 998-2585 and ask for a full-time staff member to assist you.
