One of the movements of the theatrical work “Ralph Ellison’s Long Tongue,” which was later adapted for “Long Tongues: A Saxophone Opera.” In the score for “Ralph Ellison’s Long Tongue,” “Sketch #4” is subtitled “The New Theme.”
