I didn’t know how to start this response. I reviewed a few raw, honest conversations with colleagues this semester. Some during Days of Learning. Some at lunch. Some with fellow staff and others with students, faculty, and librarians. The kernel of truth connecting them: discomfort with the awkwardness around making a mistake.
Serendipitously, I returned to April’s post about this very concern, https://aprilhathcock.wordpress.com/2016/04/13/youre-gonna-screw-up/.
Thank you, April, for addressing this. If you haven’t visited April’s blog from a few years ago, it’s still a very relevant entry.
