We study human visual and multisensory perception and the visual guidance of action (eye movements and reaches). We use psychophysics to quantify visual behavior and we measure human brain activity using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Most studies include extensive mathematical and computational modeling to better understand the computations underlying the behaviors we measure. Our lab is affiliated with the NYU Department of Psychology and the NYU Center for Neural Science as well as the NYU Center for Brain Imaging and the NYU Institute for the Study of Decision Making.
