ARVR W2: Short 360Deg Video Experience

Video:

I did enjoy playing around with the 360 recorder but something I noticed in all of our test runs is that it seems relatively important to have it on a specific stand of some sort, since the person holding it’s hand was consistently in the way. This is also probably due to product design in this device in particular but it seems that the camera of the two sides are either of different quality like the front/back camera of a phone, or adjust aperture separately since there is a definitive slice where the two sides meet, one side being darker than the other presumably due to different light levels on either side. I also find the camera’s system of connection and data storage somewhat nightmarish. I get that they designed it to only be able to connect to one phone to make more sales but since video download also requires this wifi connection it can be extremely slow, and in our case a 1 minute video ended up taking something like 10 minutes to download. I feel like this is one of those “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” situations where an advanced system is implemented when an (micro)SD card or something could do the trick far faster.
