Artificial Ecology

In this exercise, we build an artificial ecology. The feature of it is that the output linked to the present will not respond to the input linked to this Arduino, instead, it will be responsive to the sensors on another one. Though it looks pretty basic right now, I think in the final project, we will use lots of skills like this to have overall control over the environment. And this is how it loos right now.

This is a short video showing how it works.

For the input part, we only use the potentiometer, but for the output, we use FastLED, a normal LED, a motor, and a buzzer. Our interpretation of this assignment is that this is a set of things that we could put inside the airplane. The motor is used to fasten the movement of the air because we sometimes find stuffy inside a plane. The normal LED is something hanging over the passengers’ heads. Whenever they ask for assistance, they can turn the light on and there will be airline stewardess come and help them. The FastLED is lying near the corridor, working as Emergency escape light. And if something unexpected happened, it will direct the passengers to the exit. The same working mechanism also fits the buzzer. That plays the role of the alarm when an emergency happens.
