Soundscapes
In this project, I want to make an easy music game. And I got the inspiration from the game called “Cytus”. In the game, some bubbles, which are clickable will appear so that the viewers can click on them to make a certain kind of sound. The content of music I want to make is about wars. The scene is divided into 3 parts, before wars, during wars, and after wars. In order to let viewers have a better understanding of which stage we are in right now, I will use some very famous oil paintings as background images. Also, the process of sound collecting will mainly focus on the sound that can well demonstrate the atmosphere. I couldn’t play the piano but I think it’s worth trying to try to use it to make some certain sound. So I borrow the electronic piano from my brother to have a try. Yesterday, I had already collected lots of sound recordings from the electronic piano. The music I try to imitate is the “victory” from two steps from hell and “Renaissance” from Paolo Buonvino. And the first one is played during the war and the latter one is played after the war. Thanks to the electronic piano, it can imitate other musical instruments’ tone. Both of them are very complicated music. So I record different layers of music and most of them are repeated during the process in different ways. So I think it is possible for me to arrange these pieces of music and mix them into a complete one. As for the scene before the war, I want to only record some noise in our daily life that may represent happiness, such as the laughter of kids, merchants trying to attract the buyers.
