The process of making a website

  The first step of coming up with 10 axioms of the manifesto bothers me a lot. I can’t decide which topic I am going to talk about. But during doing my WAI self-introduction, I mentioned that I am a good chess player and chess is one of the thousand kinds of sports. Based on the fact that I am a huge basketball, football, and e-sports fan, I come up with the idea of making my sports manifesto.

  Making a website isn’t an easy task for me because it requires some basic coding knowledge and I have no coding experience before. The first time I code alongside watching the tutorial video, I become a little bit angry with myself. I typed in the same code as in the video, but the website just didn’t show anything. At that time I got very frustrated and turned to the professor for help. But he didn’t give me the feedback immediately so I decided to go over the video to have a look at which step is going on. Eventually, I realized that I didn’t press command +S when finishing the editing process, which means that I didn’t save the edition I made to the file. After realizing what a ridiculous mistake I have made, I felt very embarrassed. And then I took out a notebook to help me remember every tag’s function. And then I go back to turn my text version of the manifesto into the html format. During the process, I gradually find the fun of coding and I am extremely proud of myself when I finally succeed in uploading my website. And then in the recitation session, I want to make the website more colorful, so I turn to the tags tutorial website for help. With the help of my professor, I managed to insert a background image and make its size adapt to the whole screen. This class is all about how to turn thoughts in your mind into reality and I believe it will get more appealing to me when the course goes on.
