My definition of interaction means “a cyclic process in which two actors alternately listen, think, and speak.” More academically speaking, “listen, think and speak” can be replaced by “input, processing, output”.

The decrypting machine created by Alberto Harres scanning artifact is a case that doesn’t align with the definition. There must be two actors inputting, processing and outputting message between each other, while the artifact doesn’t receive any message from the decrypting machine. 

In another case, Supersynthesis designed by Amay Kataria changing its appearance and behavior determined by the participation of those viewing it, is a case in line with the definition. The user thinks and outputs his or her ideas to the device, while the device receives them and operates its sound and light system to output a special behavior or image. Then the user sees the image of Supoersynthesis as the input. This created a cyclical process in which two actors alternately input, processing and output.
