As being busy living and working hard right now as a young adult, I really missed the time back in childhood when there was nothing to worry about, and when time didn’t slip away as quickly as it is now. When I was back home from school, I would grab a small carton of chocolate milk or apple milk, and some snacks, and sit on the couch and watch cartoons. The cozy afternoon tea time was a memory of warmth and fuzziness. The time was out of the mind of the little young me because there wasn’t anything needed to be hurried.
The sounds I want to engage in my soundscape project can be the sipping sound of me drinking the milk, the crackling of the snack packages. To create that kind of fuzzy and slow-motioned atmosphere, I want to add some sound from when we move around on the couch and clock ticking–but in a really slow rhythm.
